I'm no expert but how old is your site? Sounds as if it's the Google dance as it's called and it's happening to a couple of my sites as well. It's happened to me before but eventually they settle down, sometimes it has taken weeks and others months. Very annoying. |

Probably doing the google dance, but to double check it hasn't been de-indexed type 'site:yourdomain.com/' into google

How was your site being found by those 200-300 people? It sounds like they were coming directly to your site via URL, which could explain the sudden drop in traffic.

It happens to one of my sites which is over 6 months old. When it's not dancing it makes about $100 a month which isn't a great deal of money but every bit counts, but when it is dancing all the search terms I get found for drop rankings as well. |

Try checking if your site is indexed. Use site:yourwebsite.com in Google search. If it doesn't show up, then you got deindexed. Clean up your website (make sure the homepage isn't only designed to drive affiliate sales - google deindexed me for this) and ask for reconsideration. If it's still indexed, then just keep building backlinks and adding new content to your site. You only have a penalty that might last up to (I think) 6 months. |

that happens with google all the time. If I were you what I would do is first of all search your domain with www and not www, for example site:domain.com, site:www.domain.com, site:http:domain.com and site:http://www.domain.com. If you don't see your site in rankings then it's been de-indexed. I am assuming that you have already the xml sitemap submitted to google, do it if not. Get few high quality backlinks, I mean PR 4,5,6... links do follow possible and also keep building your links consistently and you should get indexed back. You can hire someone at warrior forum to get your these backlinks. Hope this helps. |
