HI Warriors I need some suggestion on this as i am facing really a big problem with 3 sites which are all 8 months old. My site is showing in Google search for the keywords i am targeting and disappearing after 4 days and again coming back in the search after 15 days. Strange thing is i am facing this issue from around 2 months. They are 8 months old and i have never seen anything like this with my other sites. Of course i faced the Google dance on my other few sites but they came back and they are doing well in the serp but i don't know why this is happening with these 3 sites. Does any one facing this issue? or Did u overcome from this issue then what you did with your sites? Help me warriors |

Hey James! I am glad you posted this in the forums. I am experiencing the exact same problem as you. For example ... I have a Wordpress website that is about 4 1/2 months old and was ranked at #2 on Google for the keywords that I was targeting for a few months ...than 2 or 3 weeks ago I checked on this websites ranking and it got pushed all the way to 450 ...than I checked today and now its sitting at #499. It is pretty discouraging to see one of my websites that I spent a ton of time on get pushed back in ranking. I am not sure why this happened or what I can do to get it back to its original ranking but if anyone could shine some light on this for me I would appreciate it. |

Are you adding content to these regularly? What about backlinks? Are you building links consistently or have you not done any linking for the site for a while? If you can give some more information, I might be able to help. |

Whenever I have a start to bounce around a little bit I add a bunch of pages and that seems to help. That could be coincidence but so far it works okay for me.

The exact same thing happened to me on a few of my sites. They were ranking high on Google for several months and all of a sudden they disappeared. I just thought it was the usual Google dance but it was kinda weird cause they kept disappearing & reappearing in the search results every 2 weeks or so for like 3 months... I assumed it was my linkbuilding strategy that was at fault and stopped working on those sites. 3 months ago, the "dancing" stopped, my sites are ranking better than before and I've never had problems ever since. Honestly, I have no idea why it happened, probably some Google algorithm update going on or something. I don't think you can do much about it other than wait. |

I do alot of backlinking for this website with forum signatures ..including my warriorforum sig. Do you think me talking too much in the forums with my sig as a backlink is hurting me? I update the content on the website once a week or so. |

What type of promotions have you been using? I have witnessed Google's spiders placing a site in top fold and in a little while human eyeballs move it to page ten ... in 10 to 15 days the spiders place it top fold again and the human bust it back down. The human will finally move on most of the time ... in time. The sites I saw do this were having a lot of profile and comment links applied to them without a proper buffer. |

Usually if you are adding content or building backlinks to your website it will do what you call the "Google Dance" and bounce around different positions. However you site will return to the regular position or higher if this is the case.

Also you need to look at your back linking strategy. It's like a never ending drag race. If you mash the pedal through the floor board off the line and you're out ahead and then decide to back off, you can fall behind real quick. You need to be consistently building QUALITY back links. | |

I'm having this same exact problem on one of my sites. Page 1 for a few days, then disappear for a week, then back to page 1 for a few days, then disappear again. It's frustrating. My site is also 8 months old. |
