Do spun articles hurt my website?

Are 70% spun articles (well spun - can be read) unique? Do search engine know they're spun?

I don't know how much it hurts but i know a unique title and properly optimized page can also give you a lots of visitor.

if you are going to put spun or duplicate on your site, my advice never do that.

but if you are going to use spun or duplicate articles for article submissions, you can do that but they are not as effective as original one.
