Hi, I'm sure there are people who already use this method and don't know whether it was discussed before, but I think this is a good strategy to get long lasting backlinks. To do this you need a little bit of knowledge about HTML, CSS and image editing, and maybe some practice at first. It's about creating themes or skins for forum softwares, just like the one (vbulletin) warriorforum uses. I know it may sound complicated at first, but it's not. I'm no programmer or webdesigner, so if I can do it, you can do it. If you create your own skin for a forum or CMS you can place your link or copyright notice in the footer. Once you finished with your skin, you can share it with other forum owners, and if they decide to use your skin on their site.... you get a backlink. There are a lot of systems to use so the number of backlinks you can get is pretty high. Some of the most popular forums, blogs and CMSs that you can use: MyBB, PhpBB, SMF, vBulletin, IPB, Joomla, PHP-Fusion, Drupal, Wordpress and so on.... I know what you think, it's a whole lotta work. Yes it is, but once you get the hang of it, you will be able to create skins in a few hours and after that you'll need to do nothing. Another beauty of this method is that your backlinks will be displayed on all pages of the website that uses your skin incuding the main page which usually has the highest pagerank. I hope this helps some of you |

This has been a very popular way with many developers in the past. The unfortunate thing that occurs is many will remove the links.

| Yes, it's something that you cannot control, but i think your links are still more secure than forum profile links or blog comments.
