Hi, just starting my first amazon site. By selecting a product that says "sold by XXX and Fulfillment by Amazon" would i still get regular commissions on items like these? Or should i avoid these items? THX |

If you're linking to the item from your website it doesn't matter if it's an external link or not you will get the commission. Here's the answer I got from Amazon support: In reference to your contact on the Associate fees that you earn. If the sale is made via a click on your link to Amazon.com then you will receive the referral fee this includes 3rd party sellers. ---- In other words if you're linking to the product you will get the commission, but if the visitor clicks on a link from your site, then clicks away to another page on Amazon then clicks on an External link you will not receive the commission. Hope that makes sense. BTW I did begin to take notice after sending the email and did notice that sales were definetely coming from external links. |

Well I asked Amazon in reference to external links like the following: Ships from and sold by Huppins. Available from these sellers. Ships from and sold by WorldWide Distributors fullfilled by Amazon ----- Because the operating agreement states: The following are Excluded Products: any product or service sold on a site linked to from the Amazon Site (e.g., a product or service listed through our “Product Ads” program or sold on a site linked to from a banner ad, sponsored link, or other link displayed on the Amazon Site); ----- I was more concerned about items that I had linked to that goes out of stock and then Amazon not restocking it and having the link change to an external link. Maybe I misinterpreted the "external link" part, but that's something you can't control anyway once they click on another page. |
