I have a website that just received PR1 in the last update. I built this site and it is attached to a vbulletin forum and a wordpress blog. The keywords are medium competiiton. The site has been up for 26 days and has shot up the SERPs. I have very little in the way of content here and less than 20 members on my forum. The home page is SEO optimized as is the blog. I have only built 4 relevant backlinks. I have only generated a couple of blog posts of content I have another site I have been working on every day for 20 days. This site is a direct sale B2B page targeting (more competetive) medium competition keywords. I have built relevant high PR backlinks mostly from niche specific sources. This site is also optimized and has 30 pages of unique content. It also contains a wordpress blog as well. This site still shows PR n/a although the blog attached is PR0 I will provide the URLs if anyone is curious. It just doesnt make sense to me. Anything you can say to enlighten me? |

Nice job! Google loves blogs! Also, those 4 backlinks, are they high PR? Page Rank is often flowed through dofollow backlinks from higher PR pages than your own. Also a top 10 ranking with minimal effort is a normal scenario in a really easy competition level. If your site has been ranking unsteadily on page 1 it is likely dancing around as new sites often do. |

Pagerank is pssed through link juice of the actual pagerank of the page you got the link from if it's dofollow

Your money site takes forever to load for me. And I'd also imagine it's a little more competitive.

Just keep doing what you are doing. If Google's loved it this much continue it! Chances are they like your lesbian bar website more than the business cash as the niches are totally different in terms of competition. Business/cash related sites are MUCH harder to rank for. |

Unfortunately rankings don't always happen the way you would expect. I have two sites in the same niche, and I just noticed the other day that the one I haven't touched or SEO'd in ages is now higher for one of the main keywords which I have been SEO'ing the other site for. The only advice I can give is to be consistent over time with your SEO and you'll get the rankings.
