If I created backlinks to my bit.ly url that redirects to mydomain.com, will it be the same as building links to mydomain.com? I've seen sites with bit.ly links indexed that's why I'm asking. Thanks. |

If you're only trying to get your page crawled & indexed it's fine to do it like that (although it would be a waste of time since there are other, easier, less time-consuming things to do). However if you want actual link juice I guess it would be ok (assuming its a permanent 301 redirect), although direct links would be preferred.

One of the reasons I wanted to do this was to bypass some spam filters when posting comments. My domain name always triggers the spam filter cause it has the word "review" in it.

when you redirect it, the domain link won't be awarded any juice

Yes it will, but I wouldn't do a bit.ly link, I'd create an arbitrary domain to utilize for this. Just be sure to put a 301 redirect on the new domain to your money domain and you'll be all good.
