Traffic Triangle - Some Free Traffic And Good Links

Hello Warriors,
I have been experimenting with different free ways to get some of my links to a high position in the search engines and also increase my web traffic.

You may be interested to find one way that I have achieved some success.

What I have done is to submit an article to www.ezinearticles.com
because articles that are published by them usually rank well in Google.

(A tip here is to have the keyword that you are trying to rank for as the first word in your title and as the first word in the article).

I have a link from Ezinearticles pointing to my blog.

Then I submit a video on www.youtube.com with a link pointing to my article in Ezinearticles.

Then I have links from www.hubpages.com and www.squidoo.com pointing to the video I have submitted to Youtube.

This is to try and get the Youtube video as high up in the rankings as I can.

The video I have submitted is for the term: “dukan diet attack phase success”

I have managed to get my Youtube video to position number three out of 247,000:

However I hope that this article will help people to gain some good links and free web traffic.

Quick question: Where did you go to make the video? I've been thinking about doing some video marketing, but I'm not too sure what I need to do to make something like what you have there (PowerPoint slide or something similar).

Hi Chrisen,
I have only started very recently, so I am not much more than a video newbie,
but you are right when you mentioned Powerpoint slides.

First you make your Powerpoint slides, then you need to convert them into wmv format.

I did this using some free Powerpoint to video software from www.leawo.com

Then all you need to do is drop your Powerpoint slide in to the Leawo software
and within a few minutes it will convert it into a wmv file, that you can upload
to Youtube.

At this stage you can use written articles and it is not necessary to use audio
to get them published on Youtube.

The articles you can publish can be quite short (not necessary for a 500 word article).

In fact if your video is fairly short I have read that it stands to be more successful than one that is too long.

Thank you to both of you. I'll look into those. I have made a couple tutorial vids using Utip (I think that's the name, been awhile), but I wasn't too sure how to do the PowerPoint like I've seen everywhere. Good tips.

Thanks for this, I didn't think of video marketing, whats the difference between linking squidoo to youtube rather than everything linked to your ezine article?

Hi ich13,
the reason to have a link from Squidoo and Hubpages pointing to the Ezine articles that you submit is that it will help to improve the rank of the Ezine article.

The aim of this is to try and get the Ezine article as high in Google as you can, as you will receive web traffic from it if it goes high enough.

Squidoo and hub pages have high page ranks themsevles so it will help if you can get links from these two websites pointing to your ezine article.

This is a bit of seo, there are some people that have lists of websites with high page ranks that they will link to their sites.

Just a note of caution Ged - if this dukan diet is some sort of weight loss diet you may run into problems with Squidoo as they don't allow pages about weight loss. If you make the lens about something else health or beauty related you can still put a link to a weight loss site if you're careful about how you do it.

What you are using is basically a link pyramid with your blog at the top and layers of links going up. A triangle suggests A linking to B linking to C linking back to A again which isn't such a good idea.

Or if you haven't got the pennies then Pixel Pipe isn't a bad alternative considering it's free

Even am in process of promoting some videos and using YOU TUBE MOVIE MAKER software, this is really amazing software. You can prepare videos in quick time and can upload to youtube portal right from the application itself.

With regard to triangles - I see what you mean, yes my system is more of a pyramid than a triangle.

Once a little experience has been gained, anything that speeds the process up is the way to go!
