Google decreasing from 1st position

Hello to all warriors. I would like to say thank you to all for the help you might give to me. I have a website that i built in year 2005. It always kept the 1st position on first google page, yahoo, altavista,portuguese search engines, for the most profitable keywords for me, until two months ago. Two months ago, the website started to decrease positions and it is now on the 5th position on google. In 2005 the website was made with frontpage. Two years later i transformed it in joomla. It kept the positions. In face of this i would like to ask some questions and advices are welcome also:

1 - I found some online seo tools to check the website like rankingtoday.com and seositecheckup.com but they give different results and also the websites that are my competitors and are higher than me on google get worst results on this online seo tools, so, in you opinions, are this tools trustable?

2 - What are the best and trustable online tool or website to make a seo check?

3 - What can be causing this decrease? If someone detect any serious problem on the website, please tell me.

Very important points:

1 - i will write here the url of my website cause i don´t sell anything online. It´s a portuguese companie website that only sell music services so it cannot be considered spam to put the url here, i hope. the url is ibermusics.com

2 - I´m still on 5th position of google´s first page and i´m not putting this thread here cause it is a big problem to be on 5th position. I know it is still a good problem to be in this position but, i´m worried with the possibilitie of decreasing more and more and turn into a big problem for my company.

I like to use the free version of Traffic Travis. It seems to be fairly reliable for me, but I'm sure others can point you to paid tools that may be better. The other websites may be building backlinks which are causing their site to outrank yours. I like to use Traffic Travis to gauge what the competition looks like.

What you really need, is a professional SEO-man to help you.

That being said:

Your site loads very slowly. Google takes that into account
You have few links (168). That should be way higher!
You most likely got PANDA'ed. It basically means that Google changed the way they do things.

I am going to bed now, as I am very tired. What I suggest you do is either:
1) Find some who seems know a lot about SEO. Make sure he has great reviews and proven results.
2) Read my articles. Goto the site in my signature, articles, and read the two SEO articles. It might take 24 hours before you can visit the site (new and not all DNS servers is up)..

In my opinion, the best way to check your on-site SEO is learn what the important factors are. You can check out the SEOmoz beginner's guide to SEO for a basic understanding. In the long run that is going to help you out way more than any tool will. Once you understand that you can start using tools in order to speed up the process.

your best bet is to have a professional look into it... there can be a lot of different factors that tools cannot pickup... Find someone who has SEO experience and that you trust and ask them to take a look

These days different users may get different results for one and the same search query. SEs started personalizing search results quite a long time ago, but now there is even more personalization going on than, say, a year ago...
Mcoroklo is right, unless you have the time to catch up on what's new in SEO now, hire an SEO to take care of your site.
As for SEO tools, you might want to try the free version of Rank Tracker to track your site's positions. It allows you to use proxies, so that you can see more or less unbiased, "normal" search results. BTW, they have a sale going on now, and you can get the Pro version real cheap, check out this forum thread.

Question: Iwas checking the competitors that are above me on google and for that i used different tools and the recommended software by warrior Chrisen,traffic travis. All of them gave results that my website is better values than my competitors on every issues so, this is becoming more weird each time a dig. If someone have new ideas, i´ll appreciate and will be available for other help someone might need.

Actually you need to optimize your on page seo, after that you should go for quality back links.

Dear friends warriors, i came here to say thanks to all of you and to update you. I studied and studied and studied, made some changes on my website and the results are that i´m again in 1st position on google´s first page, when searching my main keyword that is ( animação de eventos ). I was decreasing from 1st to 5th. I recovered the position. The website is ibermusics.com ( Portuguese search ). On google.com, sometimes i´m 1st, other times i´m 3rd.

The free version is great! But the paid version is reallu also worth the money imo.

I like to use seo spyglass to check back links. it is possible you are being out preformed. or have something to do with one of the many google updates. good luck.
