Hi guys, I am new to this forum here. I have began my internet marketing journey since the beginning of March this year and have not earn any money till now =(. But i am not giving up. I have some questions which i hope some of you may advise me. I am in the niche market of: dating, muscle training, relationship saver and weight loss. All my keywords are researched with traffic travis with its competition level as mostly relatively easy and only some with medium difficulty. My SEO approach is using Mark's (Affilorama) method: 1. blog and forum commenting 2. social bookmarking 3. article marketing 4. profile building 5. web 2.0 creation Despite the fact that i have nearly 2000 yahoo backlinks right now, i do not rank most of my keywords. Most of my competitors are just aged domain but their backlinks are not as much as mine. But i read many seo guides and most claimed that age domains does not matter as much anymore. So how come i am not ranking at all? Secondly, i ranked only for let say 4 out of 20 keywords to google page 1 number 1 but there is basically no result found in msn or yahoo search engine. And most of my other keywords are still stuck in page 5 or 6 of google. I found it weird. Do you guys have any advice why yahoo and msn have no result at all plus why is it that my other keywords are still ranking badly despite the fact that other websites do have not much backlinks (shown in yahoo backlinks). Thanks a lot for your advice in advance. |

depends... there are so many factors as to why you may not be ranking, and 4 months is not that long in the SEO world. 1. what keywords are you trying to rank for? weight loss, dating and muscle training? these keywords will probably take you closer to a couple of years to hit top10 top20 results and if you are only using the method above, you may likely never get past 50 to 100. You need really powerful links to tackle hardcore keywords 2. what anchor text are you using? 3. how well is your on site SEO factors? proper title tags, urls, meta, keyword density... etc? we need a little more insight as to whats going on... but send me a PM and I will take a look if you want and possibly steer you in the right direction |

Yeah. Without more information we would just be guessing at best. Even if you have fewer backlinks than competitors, there is a good chance that they have more powerful backlinks from aged, authority domains. Have you seen any movement at all for the keywords you are going after?

I would like you to suggest you keep creating backlinks by adding new methods like forum posting ranking also affected by the traffic you get and google don't change its ranks that frequently..

Hey guys thank you so much for your reply. thanks seogurus for your advice. I have all the title tags, meta, keyword density but not the domain url inserted with the keywords (as the domain that i wanted have been taken away). My keyword density is kept at 1% (min) analyse with Traffic travis with at least an A. All my keywords have been analysd with TT and it comes out with at least a relative easy comeptition level. I have done an exact search of all my keywords in google. All the keywords have between 40,000 to 80,000 searches per month. The rest of my keywords are still moving up. But how do you get links from authority sites when they do not have any blog or forum posting or even article posting. I realise it is kind of hard to get links from all this authority. Do you guys have any advice? Thanks =) |

Is not all about how many backlinks you have but are those backlinks of good quality? That matters most.

buy up home page backlinks, blogrolls, high PR blog comments or homepage contextual networks. These types of links will likely do the trick in a few months assuming you get enough of them. PM me if you want me to take a more detailed look best of luck! | |

An authority link is a backlink from a site already trusted by Google in terms of trust rank or hub rank in topic sensitive page rank. Its a factor of Google Algorithm, in which once a web site is detected to be an authority, it will get more visibility in SERP’s on related or even non-related words.
