SocialMonkee:How to submit a list of urls

Hi all,

Just checking out socialmonkee and wondering if I have a list of urls(backlinks) like 1000 or something how I can submit all of them at the same time?
Is it even possible?
How do you guys do it?

hmmm I am doing it individually, I don't think there is an option to mass import. I will like to know too if someone knows of a way.

Hi Guys,

Right now we only have the manual way to login and do 3 a day, 1 at a time. We want to bring in a new option/membership that will allow you to queue them for like a month in advance, that way you don't miss submissions by not login.

We can't submit faster because the sites must be organic and not getting smashed with thousands of pages a day

I guess we could try and make an import feature, but how will this work with spinning the content for the sites for each url?

Any feedback or suggestions is very welcome!

I think I'm going to write a script that schedules all my backlinks and then I'll create auto spintax based on url title and after that I'll check if it is possible to auto login and submit my links. =) Do you have some sort of api? Or I might just have a look at how your button works.

For now we don't have auto login and post API, but it is something we do plan on developing. We are also looking to add a bunch more sites to the network to ensure we keep growing

so Colin I signed up for a free account and was thinking of upgrading to premium.

But when I submitted 1 url for the free account and check the bookmarks as listed in the reports.

16 of the 25 bookmark sites are DEAD SITE.

So that's 64% DEAD BOOKMARKING SITES.

If I pay for the premium account then I guess based on the math I paying for 64 DEAD SITES.

Why is this ?

Hi Mate,

By 'Dead sites' do you mean 'down sites'? Because we are having a fair bit of trouble at this moment with keeping the sites online. Most of the SEO hosts we are with only offer shared hosting, and as our sites continue to grow they keep suspending them. This is being working on though and we are spending THOUSANDS a month on moving to dedicated solutions,

So it is just a matter of time until those sites are back online and working well. Free member sites also take much more load than paid, we have some just for paid members in the network of ever growing sites

well all the dead sites, 16 in all at least for the submission I made, has the word bookmark on the domain name.

do you own those sites too ?

when do you think those site will get back online and how long has it been offline ?

Yes we own them. They are up and down, but we are getting more dedicated server and moving the sites. Could take up to a week I would guess, and then up to a week to burn off the queue (yes, submittions go in a queue, so they do get posted and are not 'lost' - at this time a bit delayed though Should be all sorted in less than 2 weeks though

SM is back online and running again, still a backlog but working it off. Sorry all, we had to pull it for a few days to move the shared hosting sites to dedicated servers etc. It costs a lot more, but at least the system should run well now

We have many hundred sites online again and going well... You can submit again...

about the manual submission, yeah it is, but once you know what you are doing, it can be done in a few minutes (like 2-3 mins) each one, and that will get you up to 150 backlinks...

I do want to know people's thoughts though, what main features would you like us to add in future?

Hello Colin, I have a question about the tags.

In the tags section, on the left it says Tags: (seperated by comma), but under the tags box it says;

Must be Spun, use at least 3 but up to 20 Versions in the format {tags1|tags2|tags3}

So when we enter the tags in the box, should we seperate each tag by comma's or seperate them using a divider?

Yeah, its actually both, the , is for that post. So lets say I do: {dog,dog food,dog meal|dog snacks,dog bites, dog treats} then that is only 2 unique options, and each time each option is selected, it uses those 3 on the page

I think the bast way to do it is 1 tag per selection, so: {dog|dog food|dog meal|dog snacks|dog bites|dog treats}

One of the features of the Elite Membership is the (optional) auto-Pinging of the RSS Feeds.
Can you please tell me how I can set up this option ?

Hi Colin,

If I can make a suggestion, a lot of the social bookmarking sites on Social Monkee seem to be set up using one particular bookmark script/template. I am on the Elite membership and get to post on up to 150 sites.

These sites have different colors and site names, but are based on the same template using the same (default?) favicon. All these add up to quite a footprint. Google is getting very smart these days.

I notice that a few other sites that are based on alternative templates and that's a good thing. Please plan for more diversification. Perhaps you're already planning for that...

There are 100,000's of sites out there like this, so not a real footprint, but we are making some other templates etc. to mix it up more, yes Thanks for the feedback... Any other improvement ideas?

If you spin the description lots of times (say you spin it 20 times instead of only spinning it 3 times), does this increase the chance of getting more backlinks indexed or does it just mean that each of the social bookmarking pages are more likely to rank higher in the search engines?

Thats a great question and in my view and with limited testing, I would say spinning more versions and to a higher % allows for higher indexing rate. (It makes it easier to be indexed when the serps see it as unique content)

So I would suggest for best results to spin each version to a high % and to give a decent amount of variations, how many that is depnends on how much time you want to spend on each submission.
