Default Am I beating my head against a wall?

I am venting a little frustration. I don't know as anyone can help, but if anyone has any ideas, I am open, as long as it doesn't cost me any money. I don't have any and the reason I am doing this IM thing is because I live on disability because of major health problems and that doesn't pay a whole lot.

I had one success when I did a Google News site after following E. Brian Rose's program. I sold that site because I needed money and thought I could just do it again. Well I couldn't do it again. And now I am back to beating my head against that wall with regular blogs.

So the reason for this post: I just loaded up Traffic Travis to see if ANY of my pages had climbed into the top 50 of Google SERP for their key word. Not a one!

I am using the Xrumer (not sure of spelling) theme, and the Clickbump SEO plugin (for the last dozen posts at least). I have thrown thousands of links at the site, not so many against the last dozen posts though. Still I can't get any of these pages into the SERP.

Everyone talks about the ease of how they manage to rank their pages and make money. Yet I post links, use recommended themes, and optomize my on page. And the best I can do in TT is a C, what ever that means. It gets awful frustrating.

Sorry for whining. Just hoping that someone will have something to say that might help. Not sure what anyone can tell me without my giving you the URL, and if I give the URL, I just create more problems for myself. Seems like no way to win.

Tim, I know the feeling well. I have been feeling just as frustrated lately. While I know there are many making it happen I suspect there is a lot of bull**** flying around as well.

Even so I keep plugging away at it and seeing small increases monthly...Don't give up.

Thanks Talen. I am not giving up. I do get frustrated though. Although my head is bloody, I keep getting up each morning, or sometimes in the early afternoon. And as long as I do, I am going to keep at this. I haven't got anything else I can do since my health went to hell and I can't work any more. But I can sit at my computer and TRY and make something happen on the web. So I keep at it.

You need to go for link building strategies.

You may be putting links everywhere but what matters is Is that site a high page rank site? Is that link you put indexed?

Without getting the link indexed manually or through automation, you are never going to attain it fast, until google or any other search engine finds it naturally. We have to force them to come and index our links.

Most of the time I use bookmarking service manually to index and my favorite is digg.com also I use those links and create RSS feeds having 20 links and then submit it to the 3 aggregators viz feedage.com, feedagg.com and rssmountain.com

Also I use the free IM Slave to ping and meta index all the links slowly so search engine has to get my links naturally.

This really helps.

I have seen this turn your links into an RSS feed many times before. I ask how that is done and never got an answer. I have never done an RSS feed, and know almost nothing about them. I have visions of an Excel file with a list of domains, and how do I turn that into an RSS feed. I have no idea. Probably thinking wrong, but who knows?
