my website went live over a week ago and its still not listed in any search engies. whats the quickest way to get it listed, and how long should it take normally?

You can also submit your homepage to Google here- Add your URL to Google and wait for the other pages to be spidered.

Social bookmark it on Digg and Stumbleupon. Make a quick Youtube video and put http://yourdomain.com in the video description. You will be indexed that day.

Why are you worrying about listing your site now?? The site would be listed, just make sure that you are not blocking search engine bots. If I am you, I would worry about link building and not listing on search engine. Your site is new for you to worry about listing.

Article Marketing is a good way, but you have to send in your article to a top website like...ezine articles or one of the major players, It'll link back and show on Google, plus it'll stay on that site for a while.
