looking to increase traffic for a business website.

please let me know some innovative ways to increase traffic. doing SEO but currently getting 70 unique visitors per day.

how can i increase it gradually in a short duration of time.

would have tried even article marketing, but results seem to be not that much effective.

suggest some good ideas.

I think the better way to increase traffic for your website can be the stumbleupon. It need little effort but one thing is sure once you are done with well established network it can certainly increase a traffic to your site.

to increase traffic for your site, even it is not enough just get visitor in the site , coming visitor in your site they will stay some time and visit how long in your site is the important point, so, you should care that visitor will come and to stay here the visitor you need to use proper keywords, and must the keywords relevant with your content. i will suggest you to do some regular tasks such as
1. every day at least update 1 article.
2. and write the every title attractive, so that user can understand what they want, its ok for them.
3.and my honorable web experts above told some point that's must be follow.
4. will try to avoid any kinds of duplicity
5.facebook's has no alternative to spread out your website's address.

Article marketing works..it depends how you do it and how consistent you are.
Here are some strategies to increase your blog traffic:
-perform an advanced keyword research(take a good tool-Market Samurai,Micro Niche Finder etc)
-write unique and quality content on your blog with the chosen keyword
-optimize your blog post: put the keyword in the title,first sentence,in h1,h2...tags (use the kw for each 100 words).
-use all in one seo pack-fill in the fields there every time you publish a new post.
-use onlywire,digg digg and tribe pro to syndicate your content quickly.It's very important to get as many backlinks as possible in the next hours after the content it's on your blog.
-write a different article for ezine articles using the keyword from the blog..after it's aproved submit it manually in the top article directories and web 2.0 properties(google will not rank you high with a software,it needs a natural growth of your backlinks) .The best solution is to outsource it..I recommend SEO Flicks..it's a great firm

-syndicate the content to social media :fbk groups,twitter,linked in groups
-use forums:warrior and better networker are working great.Get backlinks from here:after you publish your post go with it on better networker..change it a little and submit it there.
-keep in mind:a keyword may have a good level of competition but without qaulity backlinks from authoritative sites you will not reach the page one.
-use blog comments(blogs from your niche with a bigger alexa ranking than yours)
-shoot videos if you have a camera and upload it on the biggest video sharing websites:youtube,metacafe,vimeo or daily motion.
-create a fanpage and bring people there.Install a capture page and offer a free gift to get sign ups.
-try Facebook ppc if you want to invest money

unfortunately there is no a magic path to get massive traffic instantly on the web.. except if you are willing to spend some big money in ppc or any paying traffic source.

As our mates on this thread have mentioned.. social networking is a easy and good way to start getting targeted visitors to your websites.. dont think this a one-day action marketing strategy.. in fact, to get the most of this social networks like Facebook or twitter, you have to persevere and take action on it on a daily basis.. dont forget these social networks is all about interacting with your audience.

You can increase traffic by doing one technique at a time. There are a lot of techniques out there and some of these may work or may not for you. Assess first who are your target audience and who are your competitors.

You can use twitter, FB, Adwords or outsource. For you to get good audience and traffic, you have to make your content worth spending time.
