Autoblog+Original Content

Hi,

I want to build a news site with original editorial content. But as it happens with a newspaper the so called "news items" are pretty much same across news sites as with newspapers.

So my question is :
1) If my Editorial content is original and I mix it with 60-80% Autoblogged News Items from other news paper sites will I be penalised for that by Google ?

2) Is the penalty from Google only for ranking or they block your Adsense payout too ?

3) Are all advertisers so particular about duplicate content ?

I am new here so forgive me if this is a repeat question. I did not find something exact the closest was - auto-blogging-still-alive-after-panda-update ( Can't link to it as I am new here )

Yes you can do it...because I am also using this technique for 6 months and still didn't have any problem...

you will need to gain some links to increase traffic or just depend on your auto blog which i dont have a lot of experience with.

So i would think getting some links would be help ful

Thanks for your response ... It's encouraging.

One question though ... Is there a chance of Google blocking your account when you go for a payout from your adsense. As I have read at places that it is when Google brings up the topic of copied content/not meeting their policy criteria.

Can use a different network in case Google has issues.

I can't speak on the topic of Adsense. You're best off looking at their TOS and content guidelines closely and making your own decision. They're not very consistent in how they enforce their rules so some people might have had different experiences.

That said, I think you should be able to do fine with a site like that. If you do get hit with the Panda penalty (you'll know), just make a push for more original content. As long as the content is meaty and has some originality, I don't think it'll really matter.
