Default "How To" keyword/url?

I've been doing some keyword research, and I have come across a few that have a good amount of searches for something like "how to make blue widgets".

My question is, will I have trouble with SEO and building backlinks if "how to make blue widgets" is my keyword, and "howtomakebluewidgets.com" is my url.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Jeffrey

I'm not entirely sure but I read somewhere that long domain names MAY seem spammy to google

You'll have no problems using that as one of your keywords. But keep your anchors diverse, don't just reuse that same keyword for every link built.
