yea, my thoughts exactly. although i am considering selling one of the three for a few hundred just to be done with it and move on to my next idea. the other 2, i doubt i would accept anything less than like 20k. but the one i am considering selling, i dont really know how to sell a domain.. do i just like change the nameservers over to their host or something? lol |

People don't buy a domain based on PR and if they do they don't know what their doing. To sell a domain you'll have to show the ability for that domain to generate revenue. Traffic, Competition and Commerciality. Each has a direct effect on the price of the domain. I have seen PR3 sites with a lot of traffic sell for hardly anything. Because of no commerciality so getting a domain that is actually sellable takes more than PR, more than traffic alone, more than low competition alone, and more than commerciality alone. So building rank is irrelevant if everything else fails. Hope that helps, Fred |

It's always better to focus on content creation and traffic generation rather than ranking. Some PR1 sites may generate much more revenue than sites with higher rank. When you're selling a domain, all you have to do is just transfer the ownership over to a buyer. Once you receive a payment, ask the buyer to submit a domain transfer request from his/her registrar. The domain transfers are usually concluded within 5 days after the request is approved by losing party. |

I would suggest to wait if you put enough effort on it. I have a website with PR2 after 6 months of hard work. I know it wouldn't pay the cost if i sell it now. I am trying to get it to be more popular for now |

My two cents, keep building them. If your sites are getting traffic and making some money, they will increase in value if the numbers continue or show an increase.

I'm in the business of buying and selling, and unless it's a PR3 or higher I don't care the PR. I would hang onto it and try to get it a higher PR, and if it doesnt go up and you're sick of it by then sell it. Otherwise, why let somebody else cash in on what you earned? |

Buying a domain based on pagerank alone is rather foolish. The biggest question buyers want to know is can the website make money not PR.

did you buy them or own them since a long time? if its the second case then you are doing things good, keep it up it will increase even more. If its the first case, i wouldnt buy domains solely on PR.

i registered them myself, i did not buy them. i did all the link building, traffic & all that myself. pretty much i got them to where they are now. but im just wondering if i should sell the 1 now or keep doing what im doing, or maybe even sell all three if the price is right

If you are keen about selling your website, keep an eye on how much monthly "net profits" and "free targeted traffic" your website is generating now and in the forseeable future without excruciating work by the prospective owner and not on PR. |

You will only probably be able to get ~50$ for each PR1 domain if they aren't exact matches or making any money.. it isn't that difficult for people to get PR1 sites nowadays.

one is an exact match, making anywhere between 600-1,000 per month. one is more focused on a sort of adult niche, but only borderline so its adsense safe. i've made payout several times with no holds or notices. it makes between 40-90 per month in adsense revenue and it keeps going up. and the other one, its not really doing much of anything as of lately. it's my wifes. i think she just needs to improve keywords and meta data & a few other simple things, but she doesnt think it would be worth it. lol that is why i was trying to kind of estimate a price based on PR alone, and not traffic/revenue - since they are all different in those aspects but they all are PR1 |

Why does PR mean anything in a sale price? I have a site with a CONTACT FORM page that's a PR3!

Im in agreement with nthmarketing. However i do think you should keep building your PR, 1 isnt really something to brag about. When you get to 4ish, then its pretty much job done

PR1 is a breeze to achieve in no time, and unless the site is generating revenue it really isn't worth selling because you'd never recoup the cost of the time and effort you have spent on it so far. That's just not good business. | |

What value does the domain have aside from PR? What is it's actual search engine rank for the keywords in question? What is its daily traffic? Is it already making money? If so, how much per month? You'll need to give all that info to your prospective buyers when you put your site up for auction. PR1 simply isn't "enough." to get the job done - especially if you want to get money as nice as $20k. |

| PR 1 Sites don't have much value, I have seen couple of PR 1 sites been sold off for 10-20$ maximum, unless you have an awesome domain name. What I would suggest is keep building site and backlink, If your sites goes above Pr 3 - PR 4 you can sell those for a an awesome price. |

Keep building your rank, it doesn't take long to get a good page rank and you don't need to sell it either, you can make a nice amount of money doing other things with it.

An interesting thread. I honestly don't know the PR of any of my sites, I don't think I've checked any of them for many years. I remember back in the early days taking notice of it, but I just don't notice now. Personally I think PageRank isn't that useful, how much it generates is much more useful, or, if it doesn't, the domain keywords etc. |

lol yeah this thread is from July. My PR has grown since then. My highest is now a PR4 (told ya I could make it to a PR4 within a few months, haha!) But I've decided to just let the ones that I dont want to use anymore expire. |

| PR 1 is low . I would suggest you to build up your Page Rank to 3 and 4 then only sold it . I believe you can sell one website with PR 4 = 5 sites of PR 1 ( or even higher ) . PR 1 is not a big deal anymore with simple SEO. Once over PR 3 , that is the difficult part came in to get higher rank. |

Keep building, PR1 is nothing (but a good start off course). Keep going to PR3+ then sell home page links |

I think it would be a good idea to keep building the rank, by scaling up whatever it is you were doing
