Is there a definitive reason for Google showing different results depending on broweser used for searching - understand that Google.com v Google.co.uk will show different result due to geography. But using same parameters why does searching explorer v chrome v mobile have sites listed in differing positions or organic search ? |

Heres the only reasons I can think. Explorer - Shows normal results Chrome - Maybe Your logged in to your account and it shows more relavant sites that you +1ed. Mobile - It is possible you gave google your "Position" and Advertisers can specify to only advertise to mobile browsers. |

It would be due to your search history. If you are searching Google and clicking on sites it remembers which sites you click the most and adjusts the search results accordingly. A lot of people get confused and think their site is higher up in the search engines than it actually is because they are always searching for and clicking on their site. If you want to view the search results without any personalization then use a service such as Scroogle Scraper |

One thing I also noticed is that if you opted to return results in sets of let's say 50 or 100 you will also get a different result as searching for it with only 10 results per page. I personally experienced the one above. | |

Based on Server location it shows some different results in Google SERP. If you search in Australia google.com.au the SERP web pages related in australia.
