Maximum affiliate links on site?

Does Google have a limit on how many affiliate links you should have on a site or your site won't get ranked well?

I have a site with around 50 affiliate links, but it isn't ranked anywhere in the top 20 on Google, although its indexed. I have sites with about 25 affiliate links, but they are ranked on page 1 for their main keyword. Both sites contain a similar amount of content also.

Has anyone done any testing on this, to see how many affiliate links is too many?
