Sorry guys, I know this has been asked but I cant seem to be able to find it with search. I have a product review site where the amazon commission is approx. the same as adsense click. In this scenario, Is it okay to use both as monetization method? I project amazon purchase rate to be lower than adsense click. As you know, however, people who click through to amazon tend to purchase other stuff and people who click adsense ads tend to be click happy and that would have no affect on the amazon links being on site. Obviously I'm over analyzing lol. Please help if you can. |

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a dual monetization approach. Some people feel that Adsense ads will lower their Amazon CTR, but I personally feel if your content is good enough to keep the reader interested all the way to the Amazon site then there shouldn't be a problem. Those who are not interested in the Amazon product may be attracted to an Adsense ad. It is a win-win in my opinion! |
