What Is Google Panda? Are we Doom?

If you can honestly answer these questions, and incorporate them when building out your site, you shouldn't have any problems.

haha... Doom? I woundn't approve or deny that but my advice, just learn how to feed the panda cos it gets very angry when it's hungry.

I wouldn't say we're doomed although it did affect a lot of people in a negative way.

However for everyone who lost their ranking... Someone elses site went up.

Basically they're trying to phrase out crappy sites and reward quality sites by ranking them higher.

So the point is... Build quality sites with quality information and you should be ok.

Here's how to survive any update:

1 - Make sure your keywords are well researched and your content is 100% unique. Basically, just make sure your on-page SEO is pristine and the content isn't from another source.

2 - Vary your backlink sources. Never rely on just one method. Try to keep on the "white hat" side of the "gray hat" line of SEO as much as possible. We're all gray hats, really. Any form of manual link building technically goes against what Google is looking for. But we all know that "writing good content and waiting for people to link to you" isn't going to get it done.

I still implement the white hat technique and link wheel. Still, I maintain the rankings of my other websites.

Just be consistent,observed and focus on a strategy that you might think it's working properly.

Panda update is an algorithm designed to reduce rankings for low-quality sites:

- sites that copy content from other websites or
- sites that are just not very useful or
- sites with poor user experience

Panda is bad if you steal and copy other people's content and put it on your site. Panda is good if you word hard and create your own content.
