I got a site that is ranking n 2nd page. For keywords that are ranking on 2nd page, is it alot easier to rank them on first page after some SEO work?

I am not sure if I understand your question. You have a site thats ranking on the 2nd page for the keyword you are targeting?

If you're already ranking well, it'll be easier to push your site onto the first page. Assuming that's what you're asking.

sure... Once you do a couple of quality link building preferrably high PR homepage links and work on your onpage seo very well, I don't see your site wouldn't be able to shake up the rankings but this may depend on how aggressive your competitors which varies keyword by keyword.

| Nothing Impossible, I have to check your keyword first because if it is a competitive keyword then you have to work hard on it. If It has less competition then you will on first page soon with no doubt.

Yes. If you're on page 2 without much work, then getting to page 1 should be pretty easy. (In most cases.) Getting to the top-half of page 1 may be a bit harder though. And that's really where you want to be.

Well it is incrementally more difficult to move up a position the closer to #1 you are. If you are on the second page with little or no effort, it should be fairly easy to move onto the first page. There does seem to be a small filter that holds you at #11 sometimes, so if you get there and get stuck, don't get frustrated.

In IM, the goal is to always market "above the fold". Page two is fine and dandy, but the top half of page one is where the traffic is. As someone mentioned earlier, your on-page seo and other linking strategies are key, but lets not forget the offline methods, and local targeting that can assist your ranking. I utilize offline methods as well as online, combined with some tools, and good ol'fashioned link methods. Sometimes, old forgotten methods work better than the "newest thing". lol |
