Double 301 Redirects?

We are closing down some of our other properties (websites with dulicate content)

The current website has just gone through a redesign which included 301 redirects and URL changes.

So I thought I read or saw a video by Matt Cutts where he is talking about Google not being able to pass the page rank 2 times.

So Page A redirects to Page B which then is a Redirect to Page C.

Does anyone see a problem with this?
