Provide fresh content for your blog and specially target one keyword in it which is having a lot of searches for.

Just provide fresh contents in your blog and make sure that they are very interesting. And try to use social networking sites to drive traffic to your blog.

there are a lot of ways to do it but I would focus on SEO and social media to generate the traffic to your site...If you dont have the knowledge about it you should either outsource or educate yourself well and you are on the right path...
