Hi, Am doing SEO for my site for the last 2 months and didn’t get listed in any of the pages on Google.com.au organic search. The keywords I used are “web designers melbourne” and “web designers sydney”. I want to optimize this site specifically for Australia. What step do I need to follow to get listed on the Google search? Please help!!! Thanks, Pius. newcastle-web-design-australia.com |

International SEO is close to normal SEO with a few exceptions. 1. Try having a domain in that countries specific TLD, if possible. 2. Have inbound links from websites that are in your countries TLD. Like normal SEO, the higher the quality, the better. 3. Put your contact/address information somewhere on the website, with a phone number for good measure. 4. Relevant links from other "country" specific topics/pages/directories. After that, its all about good linkbuilding efforts and on-site optimization as if you'd be optimizing for a normally for Google.com and the other search engines. |

Solid advice from RevSEO, but to add to that: I see you have a .com already. You should set your geographic location to Australia within the interface of Google's Webmaster Tools. |

1. It is best to have a country specific domain name and have your website hosted in the country you are targeting, but not necessary 2. Create a Google Account and within Google Webmaster tools, submit an XML sitemap and geo-target your website under “Settings” to the country you wish to target (Note: You can only target one country) 3. When link building, choose websites and directories that are in the country you are targeting 4. Country Specific Search Engines have multiple directories to search: ·The Web: This is typically the default setting. Google will display the most relevant websites to the users search no matter what country or language the website is in. ·Pages in “Country”: The user must choose this option under the search box and Google returns the most relevant websites specifically targeting that country ·Pages in “Country Language”: Again, the user must choose this option under the search box and Google returns the most relevant search results in the country’s native language only 5. Optimize for other search engines in the country you are targeting. Google is an international leader, but there are other search engine leaders in each country, so don’t forget about them. |

1. Recently Google announces some rich snippets to add in websites, use the local business rich snippets and add in your website in proper places (Read some helpful articles about their placement) 2. Make a Google Places Listing and optimize it, it will help a great deal in your website ranking 3. Make a Google+ Place Page and link to your website, it will surely boost your ranking when Google joins the page with your site. Remaining points are already discussed in upper replies |
