wordpress site with www or without www

I have a WP site hosted and by default, it gives me a URL without www Should I stick to it or switch to URL with www? Which is better as per SEO is concerned? For user experience, I guess a URL without www is preferred. Correct me and guide me.

Sounds like your blog is hosted remotely, and not by your hosting company. A blog hosted on your own domain with a www address is better because it is your own online real estate. If it is hosted remotely such as on a blogger account, it does not really belong to you, you are renting instead and could be shut down anytime.

If you have no idea about things you shouldn't comment.

www is, actually, an obsolete thing from the beginning of the net.

If you started to link to your site without it and have backlinks like that - don't change anything. Your URL without www is perfectly OK.

Don't mess with it because search engines consider the www and no-www variants as two different addresses. You can use either one - just stick to one and don't change it.

Actually there are advantages to using both from a backlinking point. Won't get into specifics on that one but we have tested some pretty hardcore backlinking options. Have honestly saw the www version get slapped and the non www version still rank top fold.

This was some time back and don't know if it would still slide by now days.

I think the matter should be solved politely, rather than going to barking at each other. If he has done mistake then his information can be corrected, learning process can't end no one is master here.

It doesn't matter. I have sites than rank highly with and without the www. If it's a short domain name I go with.
