Default Need some advice on what to do with some older websites with PR

Okay folks, I need some advice please.

I've been going through some of my older domains and I have two websites that I have played around with for several years. Because I enjoy playing the Fiddle as a hobby, I have kept a blog online for years on the subject with various photos, articles, stories, etc. In looking at it this evening, I realized that the domain is a PR3. It has just under 1,500 links indexed and the domain is over 8 years old.

The other one is a very targeted niche E-Commerce site that I have let go over the years and has a lot of potential for revenue if the products are updated and it gets a facelift. This website is over 10 years old and is a PR2 with over 2,500 links.

As a fellow IM'r, should I invest some time and energy in trying to give a new look and feel to the Fiddling website and try to monetize it? Also, should I take the E-Commerce site to a new level and give it the overhaul it needs to try and get it back on its feet?

OR....should I try and liquidate both of them and try to get enough to fund some of my other Internet Marketing efforts?

All opinions welcome. I will be glad to PM details on each site rather than trying to put links in the post.

Thanks everyone

I say keep them and give them some new life - you will have a better chance at ranking in the search engines with those site and making profit with them.

If you do want to get rid of them I would suggest you still go with giving them some new life - getting them ranked in the search engines and maybe monetized.

Then flip them for some quick cash

hope this helps

Thanks Massin, I am kind of leaning that way right now. Gonna get some other input and sleep on it.

Thanks again.

I think you can use the sites as leverage to boost your other sites' page rank by way of linking them, or since it already have a good pr you can monetize the site by promoting products or by advertising.
