Hi, We've got a PPC campaign setup with eCommerce tracking in GA. The problem is, sometimes our customer's are screened for fraud before their transaction is approved - i.e. the payment goes through at a later date and not in the customer's browser. Is there anyway to link these types of transactions with the original PPC campaign so that we can accurately measure campaign success? |

You should use the Adwords conversion tracker. Much better and easier instead of trying to link Analytics data back to Adwords. For one, it's fraught with errors trying to do that and inaccurate. The conversion tracker tracks to the keyword and ad levels right in your account. You can't get better than that. If I understand your question correctly, you wouldn't be able to track which ad/keyword resulted in a bad transaction. However, this sort of thing surely is a small percentage. At least there was "intent" which is what you'd be tracking. Just remove whatever percentage of fraudulent purchases you got at the campaign level. |
