I've just reached number 1 page 1 for a competitive keyword in yahoo. It's still pretty low on google though. I've noticed a quick rise in traffic just for this. However, what is the difference from traffic from yahoo versus google? Is there any as far as conversions, etc? |

Well the percentage of internet users who use Yahoo! as their primary search engine is about 20% verses over 65% that use Google as their primary search engine. Obviously ranking high in Yahoo! searches is going to give you way more traffic than appearing, say, on page 5 of a Google search page. As far as conversation rates are concerned, I don't think there are any differences here. Why? Whether an internet search is done via Yahoo! or Google you're getting organic traffic from people who have found your page/pages using a search term. I would suspect that your ads would be as effective for a Google search user as for a Yahoo! search user. Bottom line obviously is traffic, traffic, and then more traffic to up your ad conversion/click through rate! |

The main difference between Yahoo and Google search results is that Google has more users than Yahoo meaning there will be a lot more traffic to your website if you rank first or high in Google search engine.

The conversion rates shouldn't change they are still human after all, keep working on your google rankings and you'll have the whole pie.

I think a lot of people forget about Yahoo and Bing, they can and do still bring in good quality and quite a large number of visitors. I don't see why conversions would be any different but keep tracking them and time will tell. Well done with the results you have got. |

About 75% plus internet users prefer Google for searching their desire services and products. and about 14% users prefer Yahoo, mean Google traffic is 500 times more then Yahoo.. Conversion of organic traffic is same and same bounce rate..just difference is in their traffic.
