Default Confused about new site prefix

I have this new WP site and am a little confused about the prefix (all my other sites have been HTML).

In the Settings > General tab, my WordPress URL and Site Address are both http://www.mysite.com

However for the Plugin "Rank Reporter", it is saying my site is http://mysite.com

Google displays the site in the SERPS as "mysite.com", yet when a visitor clicks on it, it turns into "www.mysite.com" in the address bar.

So my sites REAL URL is "http://mysite.com" and WP is using a 302 redirect to the www version correct? This means I need to be building links for the "http" version and not the "www."?
