Start Backlinking?

I'm confuse that from where should I start generating backlinks for my website.

I submitted few articles to directories and did few blog commenting (of which 2 approved).

Can anyone tell me few more ways of of generating backlinks, which will help to improve my website ranking?

I agree with Webapex, guest blog posts can be a way to go. Make sure to get sites that have a lot of value in the eyes of their visitors, as it will help in establishing your authority.

According to me You do Directory Submission for increase value in Google.Then you do forum Posting and blog commenting.

Dont panic in such case, just try making new back links from broad basis.. It will help you, for sure..

Start a backlink campaign as soon as possible. If you don't know how to do it yourself or don't have the time you can hire someone to do it for a reasonable price. Just remember to remain consistent.

According to many, social bookmarking does little good,., you can use it to backlink your backlinks though, to have it more juice or even get indexed..

Different backlink source is the key here.. Different ip.. Try also getting links from software site and video sites

I do submit articles, it's pretty good since you give some content. The only downside is the cost for the articles and only two links. For me this is a slow and steady strategy for long term results.

I saw some offers for that, commenting on yahoo answers and forums. You get more links/dollar than buying and submitting articles.

You can certainly start building more backlinks than you have. Most people are building by the hundreds or thousands. Just start slow and then increase the velocity as your website ages.

Is there such a thing as building backlinks too fast that would appear unnatural to G? would there be any punishment or de-indexing?
