Got PR 4 in 24 Days

Well you not gonna believe me but its true that i got PR4 in 24 days. I am very excited. But i have one doubt in my mind.
Is this PR4 is temporary or permanent..

my site is 10 days old with 9 posts

I think even my pr update is temporary so i would definitely think your update was temporary lol

First no such update by Google, and I never saw this, that PR 0 site got PR 4 in 4 weeks time. From which tool you are checking Page Rank? 2nd if you got this in 24 days then what you did? and how old is your site?

It MIGHT be possible - I have a site that went to PR2 in a few weeks, it is a proper authority site, with a blog, forum, very low bounce rate, lots of repeat visitors etc. etc. All the stuff Google loves. Got Sitelinks too in that time. It coincided with a PR update too, so that obviously helps. Maybe that happened here.

It's very possible with a few really good backlinks and if you just happen to hit a time when PR updates.

What do you mean by 24 days?? you counting from the day you launched your website on internet??? I guess there is some communication gap...

I have propped up several sites that got PR3 and PR2 in just a few weeks as well.

This is from getting high authority backlinks from high PR sites. If they remove the links your PR will probably drop shortly after.

If your high authority/PR links stick you should keep your PR .

Why PR is getting complex and complex? Their are huge jumps in PR of several sites and they are not even stable. I heard that their will be four major updates of PR in year 2011 and I guess PR will only get shuffled in every update

It is Temporary ... But we can make it Permanent .. if you do Regular backlinking ... 100-150 backlinks /week .. so you'll get increase In rank with Permanent

Folks, there was a PR update at the 27 of June and then a rollback, then about a month later there was another update. This is not a temporary update, what your PR is now is what it is, even those that had a rollback. So until Google updates the PR again, if you have more inbound links then the PR should be higher.

you need to be mindful about this...if they can give you so fast, they can take away even faster..since they give it to you...build more quality backlinks to make sure they dont drop...

Yeah I had the same thing happen to a bunch of my sites as well. Google had two pagerank updates within 2 months. Seems like they are doing them more often now. I had put up a brand new site, built links to it and then 3 weeks later went to a pr4. If you maintain your website with fresh content and keep building backlinks to it you will achieve a higher pr.

Google's update in August saw some strange sites getting high PR. I'm not sure what the deal was. I wouldn't necessarily say that it's a huge achievement to get PR4 in 24 days. It's more of an anomaly of some sort in their algorithm.

I got to PR3 within the same time, I was on the first page, now I'm not. I tried more back links today, and it slipped down another spot. I can't figure out Google. Page rank has nothing to do with SERPs.

I can get a PR6 in 1 day by doing a 301 from a PR6 site.

Your site might be PR4 but what is it ranking for? You can have a PR9 site not ranking for a single keyword worth value, or you can have a simple PR2 that's ranking for an expensive keyword(s) that get 12K or 20k unique searches like I've done many times.
