Today I found PR change in many of my websites. Even some new blog posts I posted 3 weeks ago got PR. Confirmed with my friends too. Looks like just another PR update within a short time! |

But, unique content results natural backlinks and gives better results (notably after Panda update) since google crushed many link building methods & took some extra measures against contents with 'no value'. Page Rank depends on backlinks only. It's nothing to do with the content directly. Google has not made such changes on PR algorithm.

There was another thread on this but it seems to have vanished. Those who think their PR hasn't updated today need to look at their inner pages as this update is different. It seems to me that pagerank is becoming a lot more fluid, frequently updating and is truly beginning to mean PAGE rank instead of SITE rank. I now have a site with a PR1 front page which has PR2 & PR3 inner pages. I know that PR isn't supposed to mean much any more but we all know when we go looking for backlinks that it does. So how can we judge what pagerank a site is now if inner pages are ranked higher than the front page? |

Have seen some of my sites to have either increased or decreased in page rank just today so i guess this is the panda update again. Is google going to do this on a monthly basis? or weekly basis?

It has always been that way, nothing has changed, except that you are becoming more aware of the truth. PageRank has always been for the page and never for the site. What you are observing has existed for as long as the Google Toolbar has existed, you just having been paying close attention until now.

Same here, noticed that my home page bounced back from 100+ to 20+ for my main keyword, 10 spots higher than before the dip. So, nothing to complain about, eh? Keep backlinkin'... |

Glad to see you are coming around, but you seem to have not to completely grasped the truth. Domains don't have PR and never did. PR is assigned to individual pages, not domains. It has always been possible for inner pages to have higher PR and there has always been many examples of this. So, don't worry about it sticking, it has been stuck that way since PR was invented.
