Which tool or website is good to check backlinks?

Hi Friends,

I have gone through different tools and websites to check backlinks of competitors but never satisfied with any of it. Can you let me know which tools/website is good one to find dofollow links?

I currently use Yahoo Site Explorer and Open Site Explorer.

I also use backlinkwatch and yahoosite explorer. But try to use other back link checker tools like in seocentro and submit express. You can also use majesticseo.

Yahoo Site Explorer is good for checking backlinks of the site, but you can try other backlinks checker tool like Link Popularity - Backlinks Checker Tool its better to try the different free service tools to determine each calculation.

Backlinkwatch is a good tool for checking backlink. I regularly used this tool.

The sites listed above are good. One that can give you a little different type of data though is majesticseo.com/reports/site-explorer because it shows # of backlinks discovered over time.

You can choose whether to use their fresh index (backlinks from last 30 days) or historic (all backlinks they have in their except for last 30 days). You can get some info for free, and a lot more if you subscribe.

This is the source of data that market samurai uses to gather its backlink data so for those you use MS, you can get a lot more detailed backlink data within it, and actually click a link to open a browser to majestic seo site for more reports.

SEO Spyglass will show nearly unlimited number of backlinks. It shows 4000 on one site.

Good for checking your competition for ideas and links you can get too.

Google Webmaster Tool and Yahoo Site Explorer are two tools I often use, you may want to check them.

I recommend Market Samurai as a tool for this purpose. You can check backlinks through Yahoo Site Explorer as well.

Just try the free version of Seo Spyglass and you'll be convinced. Free option is Yahoo Site Explorer in combination with SEO Quake. But that can't sort 1000s of BLs in PR order like Spyglass can. Spyglass rules.
