How to do proper SEO for a news blog ?

Hey Warriors,

I have just started a news blog on a particular country. My blog is designed on wordpress and I have activated "All in one SEO pack" for SEO. But what I'm doing is just uploading a news on a regular basis in my blog and also on different categories.
The Alexa of my site was around 2,16,00275 on 21st July when I uploaded the first news but it is now 85,04,875 and PR 0.

What I want to know is,

How can I get a good Alexa rank?
What are the tricks to get quality backlink for a news blog?
How can I get earnings from my blogs?

If anyone having knowledge about news blog then please share it to help me..

Install the alexa toolbar to increase alexa ranking...basically what you have to do is just visit your website daily and you will see a good alexa rank..
Use google to search for sites that are related to news and then post a comment to get the backlink...

If it is a quality news website soon people will start linking to it naturally which is exactly what you want. The trick is to participate in the other news forums and blogs with backlinks to your site. If it is quality and people like it then people will link to it naturally

Lots of stuff you can do. For example, get rid of datestamps. Go into your single.php file and remove the php datestamp. Use tags and categories. Do really good keyword research.

PLugins - use YAARP, yoasts SEO, breadcrumbs and search terms tagging 2.

Wow. There are a multitude of things you can do. Forget All In One SEO; instead, use Platinum SEO Pack or one similar to it that can alter its dofollow/nofollow properties, meta-details, etc., just more control.

Get SEO pressor and it will make your individual posts perfectly SEO optimized from H1 tags all the way to bolding keywords.
