Just wanted to get some feedback from the IM'ers out there. I think there was a bit too much hype and hysteria but there is no denying that it affected some people. For me I think because I had a lot of links from Ezine and Buzzle my traffic and rankings dropped. I changed my link building strategy to include a lot more domains and it seems to be working for me. I pulled some of my sites out of the gutter and have made a few more money makers. I am glad the Panda hysteria is over, and it turned out for the better because it forced me to do better link building and make better websites. I thought it would be cool to share what I learned from the update and hear from others. |

When the first Panda update came out in February this year our site lost over 50% of its traffic which was quite horrible experience so we had no idea what to do really as we could not figure out what had caused it, was it something on our site or was it because lot of sites linking to us had lost their rankings, so we stopped doing SEO all together to figure out what would be the best course of action and with next Panda update luckily it all started to recover and now it is pretty much all recovered by itself now. To be proactive, we have made some small changes and cleaned up the site a bit and only accept original content now but other than that it has all recovered without any major changes on your part.

I'm still in the toilet. Made about 100 changes no improvement. It might be because my site has 30,000+ pages and it takes time to get review again by panda.

I eased off all linkbuilding and redid a lot of my content. Net result? My rankings went up on sites that were already established.

Panda updates never mitigate my ascension in the SERPS. I use quality HIGH PR (actual page PR not domain PR) backlinks. Competitors who blast their sites with a bunch of worthless links are getting hit big time. It's all about quality now. |

Panda spanked my crappy autoblogs (for educational purposes only ), but my sites with original content are all fine & dandy.Kinda what you would expect from an update. |

It works for my sites, they're all page 1 now, and they're all stable. =) thx panda update. Just unique content, good on page optimization, and good backlinking strategy. |

I didn't really change anything other than dialing down my syndication a bit to boost uniqueness. Every thing seems to be clipping along. I have been getting much more trouble from malicious hackers than anything Google has thrown my way. |

It's a cycle, next one most probably will bring UP again sites with hard backlink strategies... With Google it's always a damn cycle. After some years you'll understand what I'm saying.

Most of my sites did ok, but not too many changes. One of my main money makers actually dropped for its main keyword but went up hugely for longtails to the point where I'm making more money now with the longtails. |

I took abit of a hit and lost alot of ranking when Panda kicked in but thankfully one of my sites have fully recovered. However there is one that took a major hit and no matter what I do, it will not budge. It currently fluxuate inbetween page 4 to page 6. James |

My one humble little site got grazed by Panda - a couple pages fell off the SERPs, but they came back a month later without any work. I think Google hit the de-panda button or something.

I've been doing better than ever... but I found some new techniques (did tons of testing the last two months) that work much better since the update.

I did quite well out of Google Panda. All my low quality shopping sites that were hammered by the Mayday update before came back with a vengeance.

One of my sites disappeared and reappeared near the top of google, only to fall back where it was initially. I was laughing for nearly 3 weeks when one of my competitors disappeared.
