Did this on Facebook using fb's ad system...

Originally ran this campaign with a twist for a dating offer...then I got a bit bored and turned the TV on...saw the stock market crash...

Quickly headed to the computer...Made an ebook...

Price: $1.10

Look at the targeting below














I hit the local library and found $50 fb advertising voucher and used it all up...

basically, invested in $0...and made 2396 sales @ 1.10

Ebook I created about walks through some previous stock market crashes...and the recent one and the similarity in them...since my dad used to do stocks as well, I had some knowledge I shared from him as well...

also I mentioned about IM...compared stock market to IM...and such

I sold it directly using a landing page...

Didn't use CB styled lp but my own with ajax and flash...and yes it was paypal...

although, I'm very nervous if they freeze my account or anything...I haven't had any payments in last 7 days or so and now suddenly lol...have to see

some basic things like "call to action" and etc...

main thing that made the difference was the ad...that CTR is one of the highest ones i've ever had...

also check out the initial bid I got while placing the ad...$0.36...now that's something because usually it's somewhere in high $1.10s+

It isn't possible...this was a brand new account...well I used my sister's account which was never been used before...so ya that clears your first question...

Secondly, if you look carefully, I haven't checked that option...I left the box blank...

initial pay per click depends on how you play around with the options and interests...final CPC depends on your ad and yes! completely on your ad and particularly the image!

Excellent out-of-the-box thinking! The conversion rate has to be staggering (I don't feel like doing the math right now, haha). Goes to show what you can do with some creativity and taking action when you see an opportunity.

Facebook is great for pushing huge amounts of traffic, and I've also had some 4-figure days on it (though that was a while ago). Only downside is campaigns don't last long, but with profit like this they really don't have to If you're not already doing it, you can extend the life-span quite a lot by rotating a few ad-copies and not pushing just one until it dies.

Edit: A quick glance at the numbers reveals almost 50% conversion rate. That's simply incredible with Facebook traffic. Of course the book was very cheap, but they still had to pull out their credit cards right? Did you "qualify" them before they clicked, like writing out the price in your ad?

see the CTR i was getting...also see where my initial bid started at...it was $0.36...It's almost exploiting their system...play around with the variables and you'll achieve it...

think like this...which would be easier?...starting out at $1.40CPC and then trying hard to get $0.01

or

starting at $0.36 and ending up at $0.01?

Second one obviously...

btw another thing...facebook offered me a CPC of even $0.001...but I bid at $0.01 so my ad gets placed at the top position, yet with very low CPC

Did you start the campaign at $0.36 and then revise the campaign to a lower cpc? or does facebook reduce your cpc to ensure the entire $50 is spent in a day?

facebook changes those numbers by every second...that's why I said...after trying for 26 minutes...

Just play around with the variables...for example, first select age from 21 to 56, then see the cpc...then if you do 21 to unlimited...it will show some other price...it's like that...

They change prices very very rapidly, so take advantage of that

by "revise" you mean changing it? yes we can do that...but usually not as low as what I did...but while the campaign is live and running we can't revise campaigns' bidding price ...facebook determines it based on the CTR you're ads are getting...higher CTR = lower CPC for us, it's a way of facebook rewarding us...because that's how they ARE making money.

I started the campaign at $0.36. yes. It's tricky, that bit. Have to play around with the variables a lot

not only that, it also depends on what time you're bidding as well...

NOTE: My ad didn't get approved the first time I submitted...I think it was about the 7th or 8th time it got accepted

I've read a few success stories regarding Facebook ads, a few with blackhat methods after the ad is clicked but still impressive and genius all the same. I think the beauty with FB ads is the opportunity to target the exact type of person you need to see your ads! It has great potential, but also the initial investment also!

Your math doesn't work out. 4986 clicks @ .36 would cost $1794.96 and from 2396 sales would yield 2635.60 with a profit of 840.64 which isn't so good. Somehow these numbers seem a bit fudged unless I am missing something. I am detecting some BS here. Also you said your spend was $50 which doesn't line up to the cost of that # of clicks.

I am calling complete BS on this. First using your demographics you wont generate 25 million viewers, its around 1.6 million. Also again your math is not working out a bit using a $50.00 coupon. Your investment would be +1700 bux. That ad in no way from its wording would generate that # of clicks. The numbers your displaying reflect a .01 cent per click rate which if you read the FB ad auction terms is impossible.

oh good lord, so let me tell you something before I even begin to explain fb's system...

some people usually fail at IM and generally, they blame it either on the field it self or on their "work" schedule, but in reality it's their ignorance to read between the lines!

obviously it seems like you're new to fb ads or you clearly don't know what you're talking about, let alone how to read properly.

that $0.36 is the INITIAL BID! facebook rewards you with lower CPC, when the higher CTR you get!

Do you see why I didn't exactly get 5000 clicks? well, that's because of the initial bid which had effected my campaign in the beginning

also when I said, I spent $50, that means I spent $50 voucher!

Read it clearly, when I said I hit the local library and grabbed a voucher...

Just make yourself a favor and don't check these threads when you're not reading the post properly, and instead writing BS!
