Default Web 2.0 IP Addresses

Hi, I'm planning on creating link wheels using web 2.0 sites such as squidoo, hubpages, etc.

I'm having an issue though. Would I need to use a proxy to create each page even though each page is hosted on a different IP?

Does Google take in consideration the IP of the "user"? or of the server?

The reason why you'd want proxies is to use diff IPs when you create your properties. If you create a bunch of properties under one IP address it will look (more) spammy.

Creating your web 2.0 sites using diff IPs will lessen your chances of having your IP address blocked, and once that happens you won't be able to create an account on the site.

From my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong Warriors) Google only looks at the IP address of your backlink... not YOUR computer.

I hope that helps.

If you're only doing one property on each site, don't worry about proxies. Google can't see the IP address of the person who created the property. Make sure your titles and articles are different for each one though, as that will make a difference.

Google cannot see the "users" IP address as that is private information that only the Web 2.0 website has access to.

The only reason that you'd need to have private proxies or use them in the first place would be if you plan to "spam" the same sites over and over again.

Chances are if you are asking whether Google can see your IP address than you'll have no problem with this. Just focus on creating somewhat decent content and you'll be fine.

Okay, thanks! This cleared up my doubts.

I created this thread because I've read somewhere in this forum that Google does indeed get your IP address when you create your properties.

I guess there are many misconceptions floating around.

No Google has no access to user's IP, and only sites owner has access to this data.

According to me there is no need of creating blog by using proxies or different ip.
You can create link wheel by using same ip there are no footprints

Many places like Wordpress change IP's every few hours. As long as you space out your account creations, most your Web 2.0 sites will have different IP's. Keep the post clean and you are good to go. I have tons of social sites ranking top 10.

The reason why you'd use proxies to sign up to Web 2.0 sites is if they have blocked your IP and thus you are unable to create more Web 2.0 sites. For starting out with proxies, I would recommend giving some shared proxies a go. See Shared Proxies.com.

If you keep creating multiple web20 properties (2 WP sites- 2 different niches) and do the same for all your web20 properties, then they can catch on and delete your properties and label you as a spammer.
