How Can I take Traffic to the Next Level??

I have been doing IM for almost one year now. I have gotten product sites ranked for key words etc. on page one spot one, but now I am trying to get more traffic to my blog/news/gossip site.

I have been doing a lotof the traditional things:

1. Leaving Comments on High PR Blogs
2. Contacting other Website owners to be added to their blog Rolls
3. Facebook fan pages - including syndicating 2 other pages
4. Posting to Two related twitter accouns with over 10,000 followers
5. Using Onlywire to social bookmark after each post
6 Fresh 100% unique content daily except quotes from news stories.

By following the recipe above I've been able to get 20,000 UV's per month and 36,000 Page views. My competition who puts up less posts then I, and some of those are excerpts from People, TMZ etc, is getting over 100,000 UV's.

I just want to make sure I'm not missing some low hanging fruit that would boost my traffic.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

From the above info you provided I can only say that your competitors people tmz,etc have more presence and authoritative on the web than yours,like having top rankings, more dedicated facebook fans and twitter followers.And are aggressive in offline and online marketing via organic and ppc stuff.

I was afraid that was going to be the response. I guess there is something to be said for "time in the game". I will continue to put my in and hope it pays of with more traffic.

Maybe try other marketing campaigns rather than backlinking now

Rank higher on Google for more keywords is always an available option.

Thanks Lovboa,

I have done some article marketing on star names like Kim Kardashian, Mel Gibson & Lindsay Lohan. Thinking that if I can rank high for those names, they are bound to show up in the news over and over. I would write an article about how Kim Kardashian brands her self, and link to that word and submitt it to articles sites.

Any other suggestions - are you thinking maybe PPC? That could get expensive unless I run some type on onsite promotion where I can recover my cost per click quickly.

20,000 UV's is damn good. That's something you should be proud of. People, TMZ, etc. just have a presence that's been around for a long time. They're just branded very well. They have a lot visitors who go directly to their site by actually typing in the url (avoiding google, facebook, twitter, and others completely).

Hey Capp,

Nice work there!

I think you can easily expand your traffic using keyword targeted posts on your blog, and if each post get you extra 1 visitor a day, accumulated 1000 posts would give you additional 1000 visitors a day!

It all depends on your keyword's search volume and SEO competition, if your site had a PR5 and above, you can easily rank for many long tail keywords without backlinks. If your site don't have enough rank power, try building some backlinks to each post, that would help you grow your traffic.

The easiest way is - create unique keyword targeted content on your site, use the same post and send it to spinning software like spinnerchief and take the spin ready version submit it to AMA or any other blog network, use these network to backlink and push your article to page 1.

With the right keywords and posts, you'll see significant traffic grow in 3 months...

kkchoon basically told you what you need for more traffic seo wise.

Also, check your stats, grab the keywords people use to find your site, build links to those posts for those keywords and repeat what youve been doing.
