Default Search Engine Placement services??

Hi, is anyone familar with a service that says they can place you in the top 3 sponsored listings on google WITHOUT having you pay per click?

I may be wrong, but I thought that was exactly what sponsored listings are - Adwords.

A friend just sent me info from a company trying to sell him on their service. They are asking for $150 setup and $450 a month to "place your website in the top 3 sponsored listings of Google and Yahoo for the search phrases named below"

I went to their website and they specifically say that this is not ppc, and that the price includes unlimited clicks - but I dont see how that can be possible.

Any ideas? Thanks, J

Basically, the niche has very, very little competition for Adwords. They'll typically use only 1 keyword. The companies also usually push enough volume to G that they have the benefit of decreased ad costs.

I am now taking on full-time SEO clients. PM me for more information.

Thanks Mike, I still dont get it - how is a company able to offer adwords positions if the customer is not paying per click? Is it possible for companies out there to somehow buy placement with google and yahoo and not do ppc/cpm? The two keywords they are offering were both really competitive a couple years ago, not sure how much now. Both mortgage related.

I didnt mention the name of the company, it is Nett Solutions. Have you heard of them?

He'll be paying a flat monthly fee that will be more expensive than the company pays for the total PPC campaign.

A lot of their wording is sneaky, too. A lot of times it'll be "unlimited clicks per month, up to $200." when you're paying them $400 per month.

I use a Search Engine Placement Company called Strategic Marketing Inc. Search Engine Marketing Portland, Oregon | Strategic Marketing, Inc. they cost only $79 to start up and ask for Matt he is extremley helpful!

This company definitely is cheaper than Adwords and has put my site on the 1st or second spot.
