is it best to market anchor links with 1,2,3+ keywords? e.g "speeches", instead of "grooms wedding speeches" or, "bmw wallpapers" instead of "bmw car wallpapers?" etc

whatever your SEO optimizing for, use those keywords as the anchor text.

It does not really matter long or short. Go for your keywords like others had just said here. The good thing about longer keywords is usually they are more targetted. Short keywords can be too general.

It depends it what you want to achieve, for advertising or ads you might get what ever traffic there is available thus the power keywords ones is fit for this.

not too short or not too long just use middle is best.
