Google SERP algorithm changed?

Hi Guys,

I am in SEO for last few years and I am still learning SEO as far as it is not consistent, because we are working with a black-box rather than white-box (reason is algorithm of search engines are always hidden). However, I do have some strategies and had got success most of the cases. But recently, I had followed the same things, but it is really very hard to move up the ranks. It seems the work of SEO people become more and more hard.

Note: My strategy includes mostly contextual links (Ezines, blogging and etc) as well as profile link building as well as other methods too.

I have found that onpage content optimisation is providing much stronger short and long term results.
It's a chicken and egg situation as the content also needs the inbound links to help it get a burst up the search engines to become naturally linked to by others.
Developing a strong community on Facebook/Linkedin/Twitter is a must these days to help spread quality content from the start in my opinion.

You may be struggling with the new project because the keyword has more competition, and stronger competition...

That being said, everyone else is correct...you need to start getting good quality content out there containing your links...badly spun content with many grammar mistakes no longer works very well...

Another thing that works wonders, is updating your content on the site often...

New update require quality content. Add fresh and quality content to your site and get some quality backlinks from different sources (Link Diversity) and you are good to go.

Yeah I have seen absolutely brilliant results by starting my SEO cycle for a particular page - by adding new, unique and truly helpful content to that page...then update the site map and resubmit to webmaster tools.

After that I continue with my SEO cycle for that page...and i can tell you from testing, that the pages that i have followed this strategy with have, overall ranked easier and better compared to those where I did not first add new content...
