Landing Page Developement Advice?

Hey, y'all - first post but I've been digging through the warrior forums for a couple weeks now and am always delighted to find little nuggets of gold. I have recently gotten interested in search marketing and have run a few campaigns marginally successfully and am very interested in learning how to master the art of landing page design.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as far as landing page scripts go - particularly, I was looking for a script that would insert the user's search query into the page itself. I have seen lots of examples of pages that do this - but am unsure of exactly where I can find it. Additionally, any literature that discusses designing successful landing pages would be very helpful. I know the secrets of the IM world are held on to, but I was hoping someone could point me int he right direction this early in the learning process...
