I think what my competitors site have over mine right now is the fact they have more backlinks. I am going to release a new better SEO improved version of my site soon and I was wondering if you guys think I should hire a company to do my backlinks. Who would you guys recommend if you think I should?!?!? |

The fact that your competitors have more backlinks than you doesn't give them an advantage at all. Backlinking is not a number game anymore. It is all about quality. Don't get sucked in to the "get 10,000 backlinks for $50" crap, it will get you no where. You need to create high quality backlinks with unique content on domains which already have a bit of authority or age in your niche. Whether you develop methods to create these yourself or outsource them, you need to know what you are doing in order to compete with the big boys if you are targeting a high-competition niche. Cheers, Dave |

Yes, you should purchase backlinks. It would be a complement for your SEO efforts. I suggest analyzing your competitors' backlinks. That might give you an idea about your link building strategy.

It is only the lazy people who purchase backlinks, its like trying to sell something you have no knowledge about. If you are going to sells products or services choose an area that interests you or you have knowledge about, then you will have no problem providing quality information about your products or services on a daily basis. Post these updates as blogs, classified ads or articles creating your own quality backlinks as you go along. Working this way every day you will see you sites moving to the top. |

now unique content and on-page optimization has become a big factor for ranking...I have seen sites without backlinks are ranking all because of good content and on-page optimization but backlink is also important but that doesn't mean that you should blast your site with thousands of backlinks...

| Are you kidding? There are a TON of amazing sources for backlinks that you can pay for. Don't listen to anyone that's telling you to manually build backlinks. Obviously there time isn't worth all that much to them. For the rest of us that work smarter instead of harder I'd highly recommend looking around these forums and other sources for backlinks. These days you can find some truly amazing deals on solid backlinks that will increase your rankings for next to nothing. See above. Focusing simply on your on site isn't gonna get you all that far for most niches. |

If you want to make money in IM/SEO doing manual backlinking is not the way to go. I would really like to know what some of these people do for a living that give crazy "manual backlinking" advice. Or better yet "content is king", create good content and magically backlinks will appear.

In my opinion, investing in backlinks is a 'normal' things in SEO, especially if you want to be big. You can focus more to the conversion, you can let the 'backlinks' part in the backlinks package/ service you buy

Any links and all links will make a difference when they all add to make a significant number of back links. This is a long term game.
