Default Anyone Build their own linkwheels?

Do people here build there own linkwheels? I am thinking of having a go using blogger.com blogs , web 2.0, social bookmarking , article marketing etc . Would like to hear about peoples experience as to what works best. Im trying to get lowish competition sites into position 1 page one one google. Having good success with BMR but want to diversify my efforts. I have used social bookmarking and article writing separately but not link wheel. Also, can google spot a link wheel and penalise you?

Thanks

Marty

Link wheels still work when done properly.

Make sure you randomize your link wheels and don't make the old style link wheel chain where they all are connected in a big circle.

Connect your link wheels randomly and add a lot of chaos to the system and you will see great results.

Think outside of the box.
