Default newbie Question!!! adding posts in what order???

when setting up a blog for adsense,, i am targetting my MAIN KEYWORD with one article and ten other articles for closely related keywords,, would i start my posts with my main keyword (domain keyword) then post articles after that?? if i do this my main (domain) keyword will end up at the bottom of the page when i add later posts...

so would i be best posting the other related articles and leaving the last main (domain) keyword article as the last post so it ends up at the top of my main page??

if that is the case if i want to update and add posts at a later date, the main article (targeting the domain keyword will get pushed down) whats the best way to structure posts on the site??

please help,, thanks

Hi DrMartin,

You can make your main article sticky so it will always stay on top. Hope that helps.

I would rethink using the standard "blog" setup of Wordpress. For example, I like to "sticky" the front page with the main keyword post or page (really doesn't matter if it's a post or page), and then use the Recent Posts widget below that to list excerpts from all the other posts. Or put them in the sidebar maybe.

Just one example of what you can do to make sure your homepage is emphasised as the main keyword page, not saying it's the only/best way. I recently tried to run a blog the way you are saying, hoping that the homepage would still end up ranking for the main keyword phrase. Guess what, it didn't - a subpage did that was more optimised. So now I am going to do what I normally do, as detailed above

Here is what I do:

1. Create a new page.
2. Post my main article on this page (targeting the main keyword).
3. Make this page my "Home" page.
4. Create another page just for posts.
5. Name this page my second main keyword (Leave this page blank).
6. Make this page my posts page.

I agree with making the front page sticky.

To do this, put your main article in a page called "Home" and create a second blank pages called "Articles" or "Posts".

Then under the settings part of your dashboard, go to "reading" and choose a "Static" front page, with Home as your front page and Articles as your posts page.
