I know you can use yahoo site explorer to see your competitor's backlinks, but is there a way to sort them by PR? It's a real waste of time sifting through a site's backlinks trying to find the quality ones that are really responsible for giving the site the ranking.

| I have SEOQuake and it tells you how many links the site has but you still can't sort them by PR.

I'm not 100% sure you can actually sort them, you just have to check manually

Get Scrapebox. You can analyze things like that in a matter of SECONDS and import them into Excel where as its a pain within the browser via SEOQuake. Also you can get yourself temporarily banned with SEOQuake from doing searches whereas you won't have this problem bc Scrapebox uses proxies. |

Are you sure you don't have this (circled red)? It didn't work earlier for me, so check you don't have an old version. Oh and of course, use Advanced search to show you 100 results instead of 10 or there is not much point... |

| That shows the PR of your competitors, not the PR of your competitor's backlinks.

Then you want SEO Spyglass - it takes a little while to run the analysis, but the information can be absolute gold. THOUGH, I notice lately less and less backlinks tend to be showing up in YE (and consequently in these tools). I see a lot of my links and those of my competitors missing. Not that they all showed up ever, but the sample seems to have got smaller...

If you buy the full version of SpyGlass, there are a bunch of sources you can use to pull backlinks from.

It is a good way to analyze your competitor's backlinks for you to determine where the quality backlinks came from, but is there a service or free tool that will give you accurate results regarding backlinks.
