Is Market Samurai Still The Best Keyword Tool?

I have some money ($100-$200) to invest on a SEO tool. I was thinking to get Market Samurai, but I've heared reports that it was not as good anymore. Anybody has any feedback or other tool to recommend?

There is also "Micro Niche Finder". Also, I have heard really really good things about Brad Callen's "Niche Finder" he has a 50% discount going on right now here on the forum.

I think Market Samurai is your best bet, it has several different tools where the others are focused mainly on one specific area. MNF is great and I've read great reviews about Brad's Niche Finder.

My current setup consists of a combination of tools / services and Market Samurai is top on the list of must haves.

I religiously employ MS in my keyword research. It can be a little slow at times, but I believe it provides me with complete and accurate information. Although, I also put the Google Keyword tool to heavy use as well.

Rankerizer seems to be a good, free tool for tracking your rankings. There's also CuteRank. If you want something web-based then there's SEScout.

Can't beat Market Samurai if you know how to use it (hint watch the videos) I've had it since it was first released and have no need for a similar tool

It's a one-time paid tool, so it's the best choice for your budget. But remember thay you may face with some technical problems, using MS.

I think MS is still working. For getting best result you have to know the best use of that tool. A good operator of a tool can give the maximum output. It is a good tool for expert. If you buy this tool then learn it's proper use for the success.

I used to swear by market samurai, but it has fallen out of favor with me. It is so slow. It has gone down way too often. The competition analyzer isn't bad, but that is about it.

I like Google Keyword Tool, SEMrush, and Wordtracker better.

No, Market Samurai is no longer very useful to me. I haven't used it in months.

It's retardedly slow and bulky, and the data it provides isn't even all that reliable.

I use traffic travis, google insights, google adwords keyword tool, and some SEOMoz tools to do my keyword research.

Don't waste your money on Market Samurai, it's seen better days.

Market Samurai is a bit slow these days, but still the king of Keyword Research Tool. I would recommend you enter your Adword Account information into MS, this gives you better performance by using your own account...

I use MS with Keyword Sniper Pro to find long tail keywords, absolutely love these 2 software.

You need to have alot of patience with market samurai - i'd say it works about 50% of the time very well and the other it doesn't function at all.

I think market samurai is good in some aspects, and most of the time it is not dependent on the tool but rather on how you use it.

I agree that MS is probably the best overall tool you can get.

I also agree that it has become ridiculously slow in the last 6 months.

Also, I've had it happen that I'll be working a site for a Keyword that MS says has an SEOT value of 5,300 for EXACT match and then 4 months later, I run it again and it's dropped that figure down to 1,500 SEOT.

This was on a Brand Name keyword too for a company that is aggressively expanding it's number of location across the U.S. ...so I don't think that 4/5 of the people that WERE interested in that brand on a daily basis just up and dissapeared. This probably is the fault of whatever data Google was feeding the software though, so my guess is that whatever tool you used would have given the same funky info.

If you had asked me 12 months ago I would have said Market Samurai, but over the past 4-6 months it has really gone downhill.

A few months ago I stumbled across a great program I have been using that is:
- fast
- good
- gets results
- stable
- has a free version (or can be upgraded to paid)

This software is SERPAttacks. I recommend using the free (basic) version to start with, and then if you are as happy with it as I have been, upgrade to the Pro version for $ 47.00.

I have no idea why this product has not been mentioned in the Warrior Forum more often!

For straight keyword research the Google Keyword tool gives you pretty much everything you need WITHOUT being slow as molasses. And most of the other feature inside of MS can be found elsewhere for free.

I used to love MS. But it's been losing features left and right due to the latest Google changes. It's also painfully slow.
