Adsense bad for SEO website?

I have a PR2 blog sharing information about SEO tips. I've installed adsense into the website, however the CTR is really really poor although i'm using one of those adsense optimized theme.

Are these type of niche bad for adsense? Should i convert to selling affliates products?

Yes I think you should go for affiliate products.

My suggestion is use some small ad sense banners in side bar or tabs . adsense ads gives some credit to your website.And it shows that your website is approved by google. Remember, you can't place adsense ads in ordinary website.

Post your affiliate banners or links in your post page.And Use meta tags And ping your each of your blog post.

And one question, can i see your website?

typically these types of niches dont do as well in adsense, go with clickbank/cpa offers they are safer in this niche anyway unless your promoting 100% whitehat techniques.

Let me explain you the concept.. (I hope I'll be right)

If you are receiving targeted traffic to your website then the people who are coming to your blog are looking for SEO information.. It means they are masses who are already aware of the google ads and may not want to click on them.

SEO niche works too poor with google adsense but it can do wonders with promotion of some affliate products including SEO tools and SEO books..

yes that's what i thought too. unless some noobs find your website ,but as people who knows SEO will never ever do that. i guess i'll sell something cheap and good.

If you have targeted SEO traffic I would primarily build my list and secondary sell affiliate products, adsense will do you more harm then good in this niche...

Use Google analytic for watching traffic source. If your site getting visitors through keywords which have very low Avg. CPC then yours ads will give you very little.

AdSense usually works pretty good at blogs — provided the blog is not about IM (or anything related to that)

Since your blog is — try affiliate offers. I'm quite sure that'll work out a bit better.
