Default Dropping in SERP

For the past 1-2 weeks, I've noticed that I've slowly dropped from top 1st page (which I held for months) to now mid 2nd page and 5th page.. I still publish unique content over 120 articles and PR3.

What can I do to bring it back up? I still build backlinks for each post through social media when I publish.

social media links don't hold much weight.

Get some high authority backlinks from good quality blog comments, article directories, and blog network submissions.

Maybe get some web 2.0's as well..

Or you could pay for backlink blasts or homepage backlinks from some source.

Are you getting links from different sources? If not, try to do this and there's a chance for you to get links from high quality sites.

Mix up your anchor text a bit. Is your home page static? If you're constantly adding different content on it, that might be your issue as well. How's the copy in your title / description? If Google is dropping your site's rankings, then it is happening for a reason.

Unfortunately, you may have been hit by google Panda. I'm not an expert on what to do to get out of Panda, but there are many places online which really go indepth on what you can do. Simply google it and you will probably be able to find the answer.

I think the Google Panda is starting to remove many low quality web sites and link farm, if your website are heavily rely on link farm, you might want to rebuild the backlinks, to replace those penalized web links.

Continue building more backlinks will eventually bring it out and restore the ranking, just be careful with your bakclink strategy this time...

Sigh I'm tired of seeing that the answer to 80% of the threads on this forum is "make more high quality backlinks."

I guess it's because it works

start making backlinks with pages which have high PR and are in the same niche. Before creating backlink make sure the page is DoFollow.

It's happened to a couple of my sites. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Keep building backlinks OTHER THAN SOCIAL MEDIA. Social media is alright...but it's just MEDIA and it needs to be viewed as such.

Try using a backlinking service. No, I don't mean buy a bunch of crappy backlinks from a WSO or other source. I mean use a drip campaign that drops 2-5 links a day to high page rank sites. That way, it looks like a human built the links and not some robot.

I continually build websites that get on the 1st page of Google and stay there. And the couple that have dropped, within a couple weeks they were right back to page one.

So keep plugging along with backlinking and you'll see your site climb again.

Peace,

Shane

Try to build some good web 2.0 property and create link wheel for your dropping key phrases.

can you give me an example of this service?

As of today, my homepage dropped to page 7 while a subpage went back to bottom of 1st for the same keyword.

Most probably it's due to Panda update. Panda involves on-site factors, so re-check them - things like on-site optimization, user friendliness, formatting, structure, content, loading time...
